Program Details

The main objective of this project is to provide “Qard al-Hasan” or interest-free loans to the poor, needy, and small entrepreneurs to alleviate their financial hardships. As an Islamic Shariah-compliant alternative to conventional interest-based microfinance, this project aims to empower individuals to become self-reliant. Borrowers can use the funds to start businesses, pay for medical emergencies, or fund education without the burden of accumulating interest. They will gradually repay only the principal amount, which will then be recycled to help new beneficiaries.

Project Goals & Objectives

To promote an interest-free economic model and rescue the underprivileged from the vicious cycle of high-interest loans.
To empower the poor by providing seed capital for small entrepreneurs to start, sustain, or expand their micro-businesses.
To offer immediate, accessible financial assistance for critical needs such as medical treatments or educational fees.
To build a sustainable revolving fund that transforms beneficiaries into financially independent individuals who can eventually contribute to society.

Beneficiaries

Individuals eager to start small businesses or self-employment initiatives but lacking initial capital.
Small-scale vendors who need working capital to sustain their daily operations.
Those requiring urgent financial support to cover educational expenses or medical bills.
Low-income families trapped in debt due to conventional high-interest loans.

Expense Categories

The primary budget allocated entirely for disbursing the interest-free loans to the approved beneficiaries.
Expenses for office space, salaries for project coordinators, and utility bills.
Travel and logistical expenses for field officers to monitor the progress of the borrowers' businesses and well-being.
Costs for providing basic training on business operations, ethics, and financial management to the borrowers.
Expenses related to drafting loan agreements, purchasing legal stamps, and maintaining a secure digital database.
