Program Details

The main objective of this project is to provide immediate emergency assistance to people affected by natural disasters (such as floods, cyclones, earthquakes, fires) or humanitarian crises. Under this initiative, food supplies, safe drinking water, emergency medicines, temporary shelter, and other essential relief items will be distributed as quickly as possible in the disaster-struck areas. This will help affected families survive the initial shock and gradually return to their normal lives.

Project Goals & Objectives

To deliver food, clean water, and emergency medical aid to the victims as rapidly as possible immediately following the disaster.
To provide tents, tarpaulins, or temporary accommodation for individuals and families who have been rendered homeless.
To reduce post-disaster health risks such as waterborne disease outbreaks and starvation.
To assist affected families in repairing their damaged homes and restoring their livelihoods alongside providing primary relief.

Beneficiaries

Men, women, and children directly affected by the natural or man-made disaster.
Individuals and families whose homes have been completely or partially destroyed.
Financially vulnerable families who have lost their daily source of income due to the crisis.
The elderly, disabled individuals, the sick, and pregnant women (who will be given the highest priority during distribution).

Expense Categories

Rice, lentils, cooking oil, dry food (flattened rice, biscuits), and safe drinking water or water purification tablets.
First aid kits, emergency medicines, ORS (saline), soap, bleaching powder, and sanitary napkins.
Tents, tarpaulins, usable clothes, winter garments (if necessary), and blankets.
Costs for trucks, boats, or trawlers to transport relief goods to remote areas, along with packaging materials.
Transportation, food, and safety gear (life jackets, gumboots, etc.) for the volunteers engaged in the relief work.
